Make a Difference for Veterans
The Communications / Public Relations Director leads Beacon For Veterans’ public communications and media relations efforts, helping tell our story, strengthen public awareness, and build trust with veterans, families, supporters, partners, and the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and manage Beacon For Veterans’ public relations and communications strategy.
• Prepare press releases, announcements, organizational updates, media materials, and public-facing communications.
• Build relationships with local and regional media, community organizations, veteran-focused outlets, and other communications partners.
• Help ensure Beacon For Veterans’ messaging is accurate, consistent, professional, and aligned with our mission.
• Coordinate with leadership, the Marketing Director, Social Media Director, and other directors on campaigns, events, programs, and major announcements.
• Identify opportunities to increase positive awareness of Beacon For Veterans and communicate the impact of our work in the veteran community.
